people have been busy putting shugo in categories. he's been folk, freak folk, folktronic, electronic, indie pop, j-pop. and i've seen his CD in electronic, and experimental sections in record stores. who would have thought something so simple would be so hard to put in a box. and what speaks, volumes, is the wide variety of fans shugo has created for himself and his record. people wanted to remix his work about as fast as it hit their hands. after a bit. we thought we should do something about it. we started asking around. and put a due date on it. and before you knew it, we had a record more then twice as long as the original, with contribution from all over. as with most remix albums. it is a mostly electronic fair on shugo's music. but don't expect any dance electro boogalu.
